Guided Fishing

Come join us ice fishing for giant yellow perch on Lake Cascade! Our fully guided trips provide everything needed for your ice fishing adventure. We meet just before dawn and head out onto the ice for a sunrise snowmobile ride. Once on the lake, we provide heated ice shacks, rods, Garmin Live-scope fish finders, snacks and bait. Our fishing guides Chris Weber and Parker Weller are sure to you on the perch.

FALL COLORS IN IDAHO

Ever wonder why we’re named Tamarack Resort? It’s because of the remarkable tamarack trees (Western Larch) that surround the resort and change from pine green to Autumn gold as fall arrives. You're invited to experience these vibrant colors from September through November, as the mountains prepare for winter. Below we have highlighted the best ways for you to experience the magnificent fall colors in Idaho, from the Tamarack Grove on the resort, to the aspen tress in the meadows, we have all the beauty Idaho has to offer!

Livestock Etiquette

What do you get if you cross an angry sheep and a moody cow? An animal that’s in a baaaaaaaad moooooood. All jokes aside, you may encounter both animals along West Mountain Road this fall. Here are a few tips on how to interact with these animals.

The sheep are typically protected by Great Pyrenees or other working sheep dogs. They are not pets, they take their job seriously!
Mountain bikers should dismount from their bikes.
Walk your bike through the sheep and then continue on your ride.
Keep your pets on a leash.
If the working dogs approach you, talk to them and let them know you are a human and not a threat.
Approach cattle very slowly and give them time to move off the trail.
If a cow runs down the trail in front of you, stop and wait, and let the animal move off the trail.
If you see anyone harassing cattle, wildlife or wild horses, please notify the BLM or the Forest Service.

Summer Trailblazers at the Waterfront is back! Time to get some fun in on the lake with group instruction and dedicated sport time for each child.

Summer Trailblazers

Summer Trailblazers at the Waterfront is back! Time to get some fun in on the lake with group instruction and dedicated sport time for each child. Each participant receives approximately 25 minutes of 1-on-1 instruction with the group instructor.

All participants load the boat at 5pm and head out on the water. The duration each week will depend on the number of participants, for example if only 5 kids show up they will be on the water from 5pm until approximately 7pm. Each participant gets the use of water sport equipment of their choice: waterskiing, wakeboarding, wake surfing. Participants should bring swimsuit, towel, light jacket or sweatshirt, sunscreen and water. Price includes boat use for the group, fuel, equipment, PFD and USA Waterski certified instructor.

Pickleball

Test your skills with the exciting and fun sport of Pickleball! Tamarack’s 4 beautiful courts are located near the main skier parking lot, with easy walking access from the Lodge or Village. Paddles and balls can be checked out at Tamarack Outfitters located in The Village.

Reservations are free but required for the courts.
